*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***Hello everyone, After a long search through my pennies and I finally found a No logo /No P Magnetic coin. Does anybody know if this is the rare kind and how much is the value for one of these coins? Here is the photo below.

I paid $43 on ebay in 2014 for one that was called "high grade" - looks low MS. I would have been happy finding one in change but it did not appear that I was going to see that occur any time soon.

sweet!
I gave up looking several years ago when my penny sources dried up, and bought the first sub $50 one that I could on ePay...
Congrats! The original luster on that one puts it in better shape than mine!

The 2006P magnetic/non-magnetic are IMO harder to find in circulation, I finally bought a 2006P magnetic this year. Here is one of my 2006 no logo magnetic.

This thread is a bit confusing to the new collector or someone just trying to determine if they have something worth money or just pocket change, so I am adding this bit to clarify everything. In 2006, the RCM produced Small Cents with two different metal cores, zinc and steel. In addition, three types of obverses were produced. The first type had nothing under the head of the Queen and is known as the NO Logo and No P obverse. All of the No Logo & No P 2006 Small Cents were supposed to be made with a zinc core coated in a copper shell, thus non-magnetic. However, a few were mistakenly made with the steel core making them magnetic. We call this an off-metal error. When these were first discovered, they were rare; however, several have been found since and the rarity and value for these have dropped off. The next obverse feature a mint mark of P stamped below the head of the Queen. All of the 2006-P Canada Small Cents were suppose to be made with a steel core and copper coating (magnetic), but a few were mistakenly made using the zinc core, thus they are non-magnetic off-metal errors. 2006-P Canada Small Cents that are made correctly are actually low mintage with only about 255,000 being produced, thus they have a greater value in uncirculated condition. I believe these were supposed to only be found in the PL Sets, but I have also heard a few dealers have them in rolls purchased from the mint. The last 2006 obverse head type featured the RCM logo under the head of the Queen. These were minted in both Zinc and Steel, so you could have one that is magnetic and one that is not, but this is normal and neither type is rare. Off-metal errors exist for other years too. This information has been somewhat guarded, so I am not sure of all the possibilities, but other off-metal errors that have made their way to ebay include 2002-P (Zinc), 2003-P (Zinc), 2005-P (Zinc), and 2005 (Steel). There could also be others because it seems this off-metal mistake frequently happens at the RCM.

I have been through 100's of wild caught 2006 cents, both magnetic and non-magnetic, and have been unable to find a P at all.
