This is penny #2

I found this penny in an old laundry matt. It was in the big industrial dryer.

Penny #3

This penny was after we had burned a pile of old lumber taken from an old victorian home that we had torn down.

I'll wait for the experts, but someone told me they are probably cast counterfeits, and not genuine 1943 copper cents. Just send them to ANACS if you want to be sure. I'd never suggest that my leg is being pulled here.

I split this from your other topic and moved it to a location that is better suited to your question.
Rest in Peace

to the forum!

They are all counterfeit/reproduction coins. The 3rd is a typical Chinese stamped coin of the 70's or so. The other two are really bad copies. I'm thinking these/are a product of what is called a "soft die". This is a backroom attempt to make a die by punching a original coin onto a bar stock, then punch an existing coin with it to transfer the image. The results are always poor , soft details like what is on your first two coins. Looking close at #2 reverse, note the UM is a tad off place from on an actual coin. I would like these for the unusual fact. Don't see homemade fakes like the first two very often, unique. #3 you can buy in pretty BU for a $1.
