I found this Roman Fourree denarius. Instead of a copper core, it has an iron core. After cleaning it, some letters appeared.
I believe it's this one:
L. Furius Cn. f. Brocchus, moneyer c. 63 BC.
Obv: Bust of Ceres right between wheat-ear and barley-corn.
Legend: III | VIR / Below the neck: BROCCHI.
Rev: Curule chair between fasces, FVRI/CN F above. Diameter: 17mm
Mass: 1,79 gram
Metal_:Silver plated iron
ref: Syd. 902a

Good that you were able to ID the coin from what little detail remained.

Certainly could be a match.

I do have a question about the hole. The damage appears to be from a piercing from obv to rev. If this were a darn atio event, I would think that the face of the emperor would have been the target rather than Ceres. Maybe this was nailed up to a wall for good luck or holed for jewelry?

The iron core fourrees of which I know, are mostly pierced/holed like this one, so I believe they were checked if there was suspicion of a false exemplar and made it very clear that it was

If it was a Daemnatio, the name BROCCHI should also have been removed
