Kamnaskires Pillar of the Community United States 7066 Posts	Posted 12/20/2017 9:49 pm Looking back on my 2017 purchases, I have to say it was a pretty good year. I began selling off many of my Parthian drachms to reinvest in more Parthian tets and silver fractions, a process I plan to continue in 2018. So, overall my Parthian collection shrank a lot in 2017, but it got a bit more focused denomination-wise. My interest in the AR fractions increased through the year. My love affair with tiara-type tets continued and I picked up a bunch, some of which I show below. I also added to my collection of coins from Elymais and feel like that group is shaping up nicely. It's not yet anywhere close to where I want it to be, but it grew steadily through the year. Here are my favorite 20 of '17. I've posted a number of these here before (but not all of them), so there are quite a few encore appearances below. Since I know nothing about these, I'll give it a shot: My favorite of the group for eye appeal/design is the Kamnaskires III Elymaean tet. Along with that, would be your rapidly expanding knowledge base. I hope that you have kept a personal record of all of the posts you have made on this specialist subject. I hope some of you will consider posting threads highlighting your own favorite acquisitions from 2017. I, for one, would love to see them. Spruett: yep, you called it right. Sel: FYI, after more than a quarter century of collecting Parthians I'm currently more deeply immersed in research about the series than ever before. (Working on a project).
