so I have started my long search for coins that are more then face value... aren't we all, lol. anyway I found this 1966 penny what I think is a double die and the coin looks like it wasnt centered on the machine when it stamped the penny.
What do you think?

if the reverse is normal, it does appear to be a slight misaligned die (MAD). Can you post a closeup of where you think is DDO?

We will need better pics, in focus, to determine anything.

Can't fully tell from the picture but looks like there is some difference around "liberty" on the left.
Rest in Peace

Wow thank you all for the quick responses, that's pretty cool. I can't get a better shot of the coin due to crap camera however I will have a friend take some for me and will have some better pictures up this morning. Also I may need a mod to change my title. Here is why. Being very new at looking for coins and I may not have fully understood what a sign of a double strike is.
So if you look at the right hand edge of the rim you see the "second" ring it looked like it was given a second or a double strike. I am not sure if that's the case but maybe when I get the better pictures it will be easier to tell. Looking at the "Liberty" on the left edge of the coin, the "L" does look odd but I will show it much better in the next pictures. The reverse side of the coin appears to not show any errors however there is a portion on the rim where when the coin wasn't centered some of the copper is bulging out almost changing the shape.

For the person asking about the "L" in liberty. The bottom foot of the "L" is almost completely missing but I think it is due to not being centered when it was stamped and the long part of the "L" is almost completely on top of the rim.

thank you to all who have replied and messaged me

These are the affected areas of hub doubling for the DDO for that year:

Note the 'U' on trust. If it doesn't look like the, it is not that doubled die. A lot of 1966 cents have Machine Doubling on them.

MD looks like the coin image below. Note the date on the left side of the devices. See the flat area on that side? That is machine damage after the strike.
