Someone actually made a contemporary stamp for one of the most common classic counter stamps. I'd say that through the 60s, 70s and 80s there were at least a dozen different stamps that I picked up on. Let me add that, from my experience with restoring old hand tools (sometimes embellishing them!), that the jeweling (swirling patterns) appears to be a home job from non-uniform spacing/placement vs. something professional. chafemasterj Pillar of the Community United States 6514 Posts	Posted 11/30/2021 08:46 am I need some help with this one. I've searched but I guess I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. Looks like a star flanked by a couple of things with a mask of some sort centered at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Edit: I did find one symbol that mentioned something flanked by angels. They might be angel wings on either side of whatever is in the middle of this one. In my search I discovered that there are some people that consider the Masonic organization a secret satanic occult. This counter stamp is of a cane flanked by two balls. These people consider it a phallic symbol. A more mainstream definition is this quote I copy and pasted: TUBAL CAIN IN FREEMASONRY -. "Tubal Cain has been considered among Masons as a symbol of worldly possessions." - Albert Gallatin Mackey - A lexicon of freemasonry Masonic Historian, Albert Gallatin Mackey had said that Tubal Cain is the Vulcan of the Pagans, and is thought to have been closely connected with ancient Freemasonry.
