Pineapple counter stamp... Part of a 12 coin historically themed set. I believe that the pineapple was representing the annexation of Hawaii.  |

1935 Buffalo Indian Head Nickel with a mystery counter stamp. Any guesses from the peanut gallery as to what it is supposed to be?  |

That's an unusual one, chafemasterj. Algeria often has the Hand of Fatima on their coins. Algeria 1 Dinar 1964  Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

That 82 CS is period perfect! I have a Brother-in-law that worked for Guardian Glass here in Detroit...he said Imperial was a major competitor.
I'm guessing this came from a strong proud employee of Imperial!
I really like this thread...your dedication to history and investigative work keeps me intrigued...

Thanks Earle. I like adding in links whenever I can. Cool coin Hondo. I wouldn't have thought that that symbol would have been used on coinage. Thanks Smat. I like the anchors. I have not seen mine in ages, but think it is either a 1941 or a 1944. My grandfather had gotten it in his penny changers he had in his laundromats in the 50s before I was born. Mine is the size of your 1951 and positioned above the date. But mine lettering and anchor are not as thin as your 1951.
