Doubled dies are rare and some are more pronounced than others; to that point when looking at the letters does the angular notches and split in the serifs occur in 1 or more types of doubling or is it markers for true doubled dies (or neither)?
I am trying to determine what "doubled" looks like when it is not blatant or pronounced.

It is MD, devices chopped off on left side. What you are seeing is the bounce was a bit low, not equal with device that pushed up that top piece giving appearance of a notch.
