Hey Mark, have some of their brothers! Looking through another BU57 roll, came across these two which if you remember are the same as the thread posted a while back....

Think one of yours has the chip starting in the 5. Pretty sure it's the same run, look at the skinny I in Liberty. MM's the same, I just don't know what other marker's we could find, then too the reverse die may be different too.

A common problem with the 57-D's?

I would say '50s in general show this often.

I think these are from the same die. The thread shows a progression through at least one die polishing, marks become deeper and a different direction. Thought it was weird I have two BU rolls and you have the circulated. We're taling out of maybe 100-250,000 coins popped out of this die, odds are quite high. Note the B break is heavy on the 5 o'clock side.

Now that would be cool - you got the BU's and I happened to have the circulated!

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.
