Hello
I got a coin from my grandfather.
I'm not in the US. I am asking for information about the history of this coin and value.

Regards!

That is a bullion round. an oz of silver worth about $16.50, a few dollars more to a collector of rounds.

It's a beautiful piece! Your grandfather must think highly of you. Glad to have you on the forum.

This is a silver bullion round. It is not produced by the United States Mint; it is produced by a private corporation.

It is worth the current price of 1 oz. of silver.

@wtyk, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with the others that this isn't a coin, but rather a round of silver. Regarding its history, while it *may* have been made in 1986, it certainly could have been made more recently. Nice pick-up from your grandfather!
