I found this 1943 steel Wheat penny no mint mark after putting it under the microscope I believe this is a double die and error coin trying to find out more information on it. On the Obverse side it looks like a dj playing on the turntable in the 9 lol. On the reverse side I noticed a 2 stamped on the rim.

Looks like PMD (post mint damage), meaning the coin was damaged after it left the mint, making what you see add no collector's value.

it must have hit a 2 on the way out the mint. I suggest you take a closer look at the 9 because it is a double. matter of fact it looks like it was a 4 before it was a 9.

Pretty funny on the 9 actually I think it looks more like somebody playing the old school PAC MAN video game-but unfortunately they are correct this is all PMD and welcome to the forum!
Rest in Peace

a well placed hit perhaps, but a hit nonetheless.

Wouldn't that mean that you have a 1943/1443 overdate?

Sorry, but the explanation that this is simply damage that looks a little like a four (or a two in the case of the damage on the rev rim) is much more likely then this being a mint error.

with the above comments. It is simply damage. When looking at the process of minting coins, there is no explanation for how there could have been a 4 under the 9 in the date, sorry.

Keep searching!
