I should use a tripod next time, I'll admit I'm not really experienced in telling the diff between a slider and an UNC

On 1921 Peace dollars I am not worth a hoot at it either so don't be ashamed, they are just one of the toughest series to grade in my opinion

I really DO hope its unc though because the price difference is astronomical.

I'm not sure about the grade, but it sure looks like someone took a brillo pad to the reverse.

Brillo pad? Like one of those scrubbers? I see the fine scratches now, never saw it with the naked eye.

Shadowcreator,

I was looking at your trade list and noticed the 60/66 and this peace. If you have a few more to make the postage worth it, you might send them to get graded. ICG is having a 2day $12 DOLLARS under $500 special. It actually took 3 weeks total time with mailing , etc., but I think they did a good job, and with VAMs for $5 extra ( VAMs slowed down the process they say). They will grade and slab problem coins with explanation on holder. Also they have a similar "collectors club kit" as the others which is much less expensive. Read their blurbs on web.

Normally I wouldn't mind this but I don't trust ICG as a grading company.

Yeah, I notice a lot of hairlines on the close-up too.
Details look good otherwise.

If your coin has been scratched or cleaned, you'll have no choice but ANACS or ICG. It will get bodybagged by NGC/PCGS.

I compared your coin to the two 21s I have...one is graded MS63 by PCGS and the other is ungraded MS64+ with a cracked planchet error. Without taking into account the Hairlines on the obverse and reverse you are probably looking at a MS60 to MS61 Dollar.

Not cleaned, but these aren't real 'scratches' in the 'details' sense it seems. I can barely see them with the naked eye under the light when I look closely.
