Been working my way through a partial roll of 1950S BU's. Have come across these I have yet to attribute but see if you can notice any differences. I'll upload the MM closeup in a bit..oops, gave it away....

Interesting to note the punch is damaged (RED), this shows up on a variety of 50Ss not even RPM.

The middle one is different it's tilted to the left the split in the bottom loop is completely diffevent as is the gap to the date the 1st and 3rd look very similar but number one looks to be positioned a little closer to the date but also can be a later die state causing a little flow up and to the right. But I'm no expert as you know lol but that's what I see looking at your 3 mms

The fallicy of using strictly lines to attribute is that the original photo used has to be EXACTLY level. A 1 degree turn CW or CCW will throw the corresponding cross hatch off a teeny bit, #1 is turned 1-2 degrees CCW. Hence the slight difference in the horizontal line placement in #1 and #3. If you notice, the Vertical on #2 is slightly different. That's just how close some of these RPMs are to one another!

I have to say the extremely minor die varieties requiring such tiny comparisons really baffle me. If I can't see it 10X is it really worth pursuing?

(I'm going to the basement as I expect a Crazy bombardment momentarily)

Mox, these/are the easy ones...these fellows/that crank it up to 200x, now they gotta problem! These really are the only ones I'll wrestle with, the minor RPMs are even listed...next post may just be one of those!
