I'm considering posting summaries of new updates to my site, crdievarieties.com. So, if people like this I will continue to do this for each new update.
The 12/27 update completes the
Roosevelt dime doubled dies from 1997-2017.
This update also adds two new 2017 Jeff. Nickel Doubled Dies.
Ken Potter made an article in the past about how the
Roosevelt dime series is ignored in regards to doubled dies, and how there is potential for a major variety to be found.
Article here:
http://www.numismaticnews.net/artic...dies-ignoredI hold the same view. There could be a huge variety out there waiting to be discovered. Some pretty nice ones have been found already. Including these two of my favorites:
2015P-10c-R01-01 (WDDR-009):
http://crdievarieties.com/RooseDime...P-10c-R01-012015P-10c-R03-01 (WDDR-003 "Best Of"):
http://crdievarieties.com/RooseDime...P-10c-R02-01Considering that in early 2016, there were no known doubled dies on dimes since 1991. Then, a few months later, there were nearly 30 from 2004-2016. No one has been looking at dimes for doubled dies until fairly recently.
Even that really nice 2007
DDO in Potter's article still hasn't been listed by CONECA or Wexler. I've been looking for an example for my site ever since I saw it.
So I urge you to take a chance with the
Roosevelt dime series, who knows, you may be the lucky one to find that big one out there.

You can use my site to see what to look for on the
Roosevelt dime series from 1997 to present, and what ones are known now:
http://crdievarieties.com/RooseDime2.htmlI do not have pictures of a lot of the Dime doubled dies on my site. I'm trying to find some of them on my own, but I'm also working on opening a PO Box to accept submissions for my site from collectors like you. I have no idea if anyone would even be interested in submitting to me, I know I would prefer sending my varieties to Wexler or Wiles people who have been in the hobby far longer than I have. I will also gladly accept photographs via email if you're able to take good detailed pics of varieties and markers.
On the CR Die Varieties to-do list:
Shield Cents are the top priority. Cross-references are already completed. All pics are needed to be taken. Styles have to be organized. I imagine this could bring a lot of interest to the site, as cents are the most popular coins to be searched for varieties.
America the Beautiful Quarters are second. Cross-references are nearly completed (Denali and Mt. Rushmore are pretty tricky). All pics are needed to be taken. Styles have to be organized.
