1997 P Nickel Opposing Die Cracks?

The E appears to have a die crack running east (yellow arrows maybe part of this crack) Then the P appears to have a crack running west. Is that what I'm seeing? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Those look like Die Cracks to me! Nice find! I wish you got an answer sooner though.

Die Deterioration and abrasion has taken the edges off there. Because the devices have moved with the metal flow to the edge of the die face, that area nearest is quite weak and is breaking off in small pieces with each coin being stamped. EVLDS Extra Very Late Die State, time to call Digger O'Dell to bury it.
