I ended up buying this 2012 4-Coin Gold Eagle Set. What's interesting is that it's labeled "Inaugural Strike #1 of 26". Does this mean that they were the first MS struck of the year? If so would they be more sought after than normal?

Thank you!

(Sorry in advance for the poor pics!)

The tv coin guy sells his set labeled like this. He gets a TPG, in this case ANACS, to produce a number of sets and labels them 1 of x.

"Inaugural Strike" is trademarked. That should give you a hint.

Same value as any other slabbed 2012 4 Coin Gold Eagle Set.
Certainly not less.

It may be a deliberate case of slight misleading, but only a very minor, in this case.
Was probably done to increase their marketability a bit.

No it does not mean that. It's still a nice set of gold eagles just don't pay a premium for the MS70 grades. Not on ANACS holders anyway.

It's a beautiful set well worth owning and a significant purchase of gold.

The holder labels mean absolutely nothing. Neither positive or negative.

It is a really nice set. I only have an ounce coin and would like to someday get the other three sizes.
