Here's the story behind the curtain. Yep, is 100% fake, knew it was. Wanted it because it was SOOO badly done. If you notice the RED circles, altho not in hand yet, I suspect the core is a copper alloy silver/zinc/mercury washed. The high points do show some wear, so this bad boy saw some travels. It was sold as fake,a novelty item. I'm not so sure about a cast fake, why would one want to go to that means on a common date Barber? I'm thinking this was a product of a "soft die", using image transfer from coin to metal form or just a plain counterfeit setup. Like to see the edge.
Now, I was getting killed in the auction this was in. EVERY single item I was interested in happened to be the ones a certain other bidder(s) was too. Those of you who do auctions probably know this. Well after seeing the umpteenth lot get overbid by the same person (Deep pockets?)My initial $2 which had stood for three days prior even went up in smoke in the final 5 minutes by this fellow. So increased by increment....BAM!, right away overbid...repeat and rinse, again and again and again. Hummmm? This guy really wants this to be that quick on the bid.....hahahaha I thought to myself(oh, oh, Baaaaddd move there Butch...) let's stick it to this guy

, I have done this at
manyer, a few other times with great succes and much glee....Karma got me at $8! What goes around, makes you sick!

If any CCF members were on the other end of this, well, don't play my games! Sorry....maybe....I'll thingkaboudit...
