I'm not a Morgan expert, but is it a contemporary counterfeit?

I guess "privately made" would be a good euphemism. Nice find!

Yes a Contemporary counterfeit micro O as stated by messydesk. I came across this coin in a ebay auction and had remembered reading back in September Cascade's pick up of 2 1900-O's, I think they were the non micro "O" but were of the same obverse die of the "privately made" 1900-O. Maybe VAM-22C1 or VAM-22C2.

After reading more about these in various discussions elsewhere, it was stored in my old brain file...I guess it came to good use. Right place at the right time, got lucky.
