I am surprised ebay would allow 'chance' listings such as this. He practically implies in the listing title it is a 36-D solid date roll. However, in the item description he says "mix mint and will possibly have earlier date coins as well".

It either is, or isn't....can't have it both ways!

Shades of the bank wrapped "CC" dollar rolls from The Bullion & Exchange Bank of Carson City Nevada that appeared on ebay several years ago.

Wonder what ever happened to that guy?

Crazyb0 I take offense to your slight of Houston. Yes, I am the one that finds & post the crazy craigslist ads in Houston, but I imagine every city has their own crazy listings. Until the guy is proven a fraud, back off. To my knowledge Bobby hasn't removed any of these listings.

I questioned the seller twice on his roll of 1943 quarters:

- Your previous message: Roll 1943 quarters... are all coins uncirculated 1943 quarters?

- New message from: americoins-treasurechest (0): I have not open the roll, but from what I see on the outside, the coin is uncirculated condition.

And another response:

- New message from: americoins-treasurechest (0): The roll has never been opened so I don't know what's inside.

Forty bids on the 1932-d quarter roll as of early Thursday morning. Wow...

Listings like these entertain me, and anyone who buys the stuff deserves what they get IMO.

The pictures of chests filled with meticulously stacked perfect rolls. Not just to fill the chests, but to form decorative pyramids. No dust collecting on these rolls. It all looks so fresh...

The machines to make the rolls are not necessarily expensive.

The handheld "Twist and Crimp" plastic pieces don't work well... certainly not as shown in the pics. I've tried. These machines create the perfect crimp:

Many of these seller's lots have been closed early due to an "error in the listing." But not the 1917-d Mercs or 1932-d Washington quarter roll.

Maybe the seller took an early offer and ran?

Remember, ebay holds money from zero feedback sellers for a bit of time. Someone needs to break open one of these rolls and file a complaint. I was thinking of bidding on one of the silver quarter rolls for ~$125 but I see the common date "unc" rolls are now over $150.

Idiots...
