People who don't come here seem to bid with eyes closed.

Please correct my knowledge here, but it's (supposedly) a Federal Reserve Bank coin roll, so even if it was unopened, there could still be literally any hodgepodge of dimes in there, right? https://www.federalreserve.gov/paym...in_about.htmQuote: The Reserve Banks distribute new and circulated coin to depository institutions to meet the public's demand. While the Reserve Banks store some coin in their vaults, they also contract with coin terminals, which are operated by armored carriers, to store, receive, and distribute coin on behalf of the Reserve Banks.

http://www.ebay.com/gds/BU-Roll-Buy...49256/g.htmlQuote: During this same era, and particularly the 1950s, the Federal Reserve Banks also had wrapping machines and did wrap some of the coins, especially for smaller banks without wrapping equipment. Consequently, one can sometimes find rolls from this era stamped with the name of a Federal Reserve Bank Again, just trying to clarify my knowledge @thq. It appears that there were actual Federal Reserve rolls at one time. This seller also has a roll of 1932-D quarters, bidding is over $1000. There's a sucker born every minute.

Thanks kbbpll. Any roll stamped with the name of a Federal Reserve bank would be the exception rather than the rule, and it would bear the name of a real FR bank, not a fictitious one. The fact that the Denver branch wasn't established until 1918 throws a lot of shade on this listing. IMO a fair bid is for an AU 1917-P dime, an AU common Mercury, and 48 non silver dimes. $40 would be generous, beyond that it's wishful thinking.
In looking at certain cc "unsearched bank rolls" in the past it was possible to find sources of the printed roll wrapping paper available from far east sources.
