Picked this up for $25. The coin is actually round. Shape distorted a little when I rotated the image less than 90 degrees. Thoughts on grade and problems? Thanks?

an '82 always brings a tear to my eye. Great addition. I'm more of a 40 guy on this one. Is that a die crack on the reverse running above the corn to the right?

If there's some luster there I'd go AU50. Although the images are low resolution you can see a well struck piece with very little wear. Nice coin.

Do you collect other "82's" like 1820 or 1828?

Regarding the coin, I say this is more like an XF-40. I'd like to see a little better surfaces and maybe some hidden luster to make it a 45.

I stick to years ending in '82 (or equivalent with another calendar like AH). It keep everything a nice round 100 years apart. I'm also slowly working on date sets of Capped Bust Half Dimes and dimes, so I do have a few things from the 1820s :)

Appears to be a touch of strike weakness on the cheek because there's not much wear apparent elsewhere. The cut through the foot blends in well. I'd go XF45 here.
