I can't figure out the ebay reporting menus well enough so am looking for some help. I just sold the first listed Retained Cud on a 1934-P Lincoln Cent. Got a good price for it and I still have it sitting here ready to mail tomorrow since the buyer just paid this evening. So this listing can NOT be that coin. They apparently stole my title and are looking to pawn off a junk 1934 as the coin that I just sold. I know that some members here help police such things on ebay and hope that this seller can be reported and that listing removed. Here is the fake listing: And here is the listing for my sold coin: Link to the fake discovery coin is: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1934-Linco...AOSwA~VaTNiKHuge thanks to whoever might be able to get this off ebay! I hope this post is okay here as I am new at reporting things and so mods delete it if inappropriate or some such thing.

It looks like they just stole your title. Probably don't know anything about coins and thought they were all the same.

Accident maybe. When you post a title to sell, up pops possible titles. If this dimwit hit on like title button for a 1934 LWC, that's probably what happened. Send a message to this seller asking him to drop last RDB. Just is "item not as described". If seller doesn't remove it, contact CS, you'll have message to back you up. Our titles aren't trademarked or copyrighted.

I would bet it was at least laziness and lack of knowledge of what the catalogue number meant, if not intent to deceive.
As Crazyb0 said, titles aren't protected. However, they do have a fake error listed and their photos are extremely sub par (blurry & dark) so as to not be able to determine whether there is actually an error present or not. I reported it.

Very shady seller as he won't accept returns. He's the type of seller who knows nothing about coins and is trying to screw people out of their money. Here's what he said in his description about the coin. "Is a penny 1934 look the pictures because we don't accept returns". Fraud seller detected.

Some clueless eBayer has placed a one dollar bid on this Wheat cent not knowing that there's no error on this coin. The seller is also clueless. It's nothing more than just a very worn junk coin that's only good for Copper melt value. Hopefully, it gets taken down before it gets sold to the unfortunate buyer.

CrazyB0, correct me if I am wrong but can't you as a potential seller go to "completed" listings in Advanced Search and choose "sell one like this" and doesn't it copy in all the information for the seller?
Maybe that's what happened and it wasn't malicious?
ebay changes it s policies and menus often, people can curse you in emails now and there is no reporting mechanism.
I had no way to report someone selling 83+ year cents as "copper"...

You are correct, it copies everything except pictures, description, price and seller preferences. That's really not an excuse, though. If they want to sell on ebay, they need to learn how to do it correctly. Having this removed will hopefully be a small lesson.

I am very happy that the listing got taken down before the stupid seller screwed the bidder. Our job is done!
