1969 D Kennedy Half Golden Color Please Help...

I recently received quite a few coins last month and one is a 1969 D Kennedy half but instead of being silver like I'm use to its a gold color like gold $1 coin... please help I've never seen before and cant seem to find anything on google. Thank you in advance

Gold plated most likely. The 1969's are 40% silver as is, possibly some private firm plated it, for reasons unknown. It is considered nothing more than a novelty, in value terms coin has been damaged and is just worth its silver melt value

Gold plated as a novelty. At least yours is 40% silver! I just have a 1985 CuNi clad, counterstamped, gold-plated version.

I doubt it is Gold plated. Possibly Copper or Brass but Gold?
