1969 D Kennedy Half Golden Color Please Help...

Onyx83 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 01/04/2018 12:18 am I recently received quite a few coins last month and one is a 1969 D Kennedy half but instead of being silver like I'm use to its a gold color like gold $1 coin... please help I've never seen before and cant seem to find anything on google. Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 01/04/2018 12:54 am Gold plated most likely. The 1969's are 40% silver as is, possibly some private firm plated it, for reasons unknown. It is considered nothing more than a novelty, in value terms coin has been damaged and is just worth its silver melt value to the forum! Report this Post to the Staff

I just have a 1985 CuNi clad, counterstamped, gold-plated version.
