Coin is raw so I weighed it. My scale only works to the nearest gram. Trade dollars should be 27.22 grams and silver washed base metal examples often weigh around 18 grams. This coin seems to pass the weight test. Let me know if you see anything that causes concern. Trade dollars from 1877 and after had a Type 2 obverse paired with a Type 2 reverse exclusively. I looked over the markers for these die varieties to see if they are correct. Results are below and it appears that this coin exhibits the correct Type 2 die varieties for both obverse and reverse. Obverse Types  Subject coin appears to exhibit the downward facing ribbon ends of the Type 2 Obverse Die Variety.  Reverse Types Arrowheads Markers  Subject coin appears to exhibit the correct bottom arrowhead position through the middle of the 2 in 420, and the middle arrow shaft just touching the eagle's wing tip for the Type 2 Reverse Die Variety.  Reverse Types Sprig Leaves and Berries Markers  Subject coin appears to exhibit the correct bottom leaf position where it drops below the top of the top of the 0 and F in the lettering below and the rightmost berry does not extend over the E in FINE consistent with the Type 2 Reverse Die Variety.
