I can easily see this getting abused for ebay coin sales too, since there's so much subjectivity involved. Ratings will become just as meaningless as before.

I think that ebay dropped the ball years ago as they lurched towards a top-down approach to "safety", when actually the most effective entity of ebay was its community. As ebay continues to peel away the strengths of community interaction, they're retreating from a battle where the ultimate losers are buyers/sellers. What remains of community there is a generally unhappy mob reacting against ebay problems—yet directing their ire at each other. That's an inevitable result when a company doesn't take ownership of a problem.

As proof of what an online community can do, consider how well most coin sales are conducted here at CCF. This suggests how broken ebay's business has become.

I'll spare you guys any more rant on ebay for now.

Scubu,
That's no less than 11 different IDs leaving the same "complaint".

I think that is the feedback he is leaving for the others. I wonder if it is some sort of protest?

Look at some of the "conversations" in his his other feedback tabs (as as seller, as a buyer). It is almost as if he is pointing out the downside of the change. Not only are sellers forbidden from retaliating, they cannot praise good buyers, which might make sellers feel comfortable.

Oh gee...nevermind, lol.
Maybe it's a guy that's ticked with ebay? Seems bad form to take it out on sellers.

He might be a student of the "you have to break a few eggs" school of thought?

Either way,I believe your going to see a lot more of this.It will happen about twice for me and I will pull out of ebay. They need to lose about 1/4 of there sellers to wake them up.
