The markings seems to be in one area without a smear or trail, does anyone have a clue? Thanks in advanced!

It is caused from another coin's reeded edge crashing into it.

EDIT: In case you are wondering, it is post mint damage and adds no premium to the value of the coin. It would actually hurt the collector value.
