Fake/Counterfeit 8 Reales Pillar Dollar?

I recently spent my ebay bucks on what looked to be a nice 1756-Mo MM 8 Reales from a collector selling off his Mexican coins. However, I just got the coin in hand and I have concerns it is a fake...the entire coin is just sending up red flags in my brain and the edge looks way off. I will be weighing it on Monday when I get back to my office, but wanted to get the thoughts of the community to see if I am correct with my concerns. Are there raised bubbles in the field suggesting a transfer die cast specimen? 2. Weight in grams. 3. Is it attracted to a magnet as sometimes Chinese modern forgeries use Fe/Ni as an alloy (unlikely - but check)? JPL Report this Post to the Staff
