Found a 1957-D LWC with what looks to me as a die break, although worn from circulation. Any thoughts on what this may be?

I would say Die break since it's connected to the rim. Nice find Mark! You are scoring some nice errors on the Wheat cents!

Wait till you see the 1956 D/D I found also just a little while ago - I have it soaking in acetone right now.

Looks to me like it is listed on Cuds on coins as a Retained Cud (RCD-1c-1957D-02R). Nice pick-up!
