1974-D-Eisenhower-Dollars--

Ok Y'all.... MS6?....

I'm not going to get my hopes up but these things are worth a little more than face value if considered MS66 or MS67... Any chance in the world?

If I ever have one worth certifying.... How do y'all go about it. Everything I'm seeing is saying to pack it up and send it off... and I gotta admit going through the Military postal service all the way from Tokyo I'd be afraid they'd get lost!

TTL.
My opinion is that neither of those would hit 66. Too many distractions to grade that high. But big metal is always fun!

I agree.

Although bottom one looks better, both are not 66, nor anyway close to 67.

Yeah - if they are circulated that's OK - very easy to put together a Dansco album of them - a nice start to a coin collection!!

Oh - OK, you are the APO address. Are you military wife or in the military? My Daughter's husband,(now a gunnery Sgt) daughter, and her daughter is stationed in Okinawa - obviously an APO address.

Please never discourage a new collector. Even though they are not high MS quality.
Well said.

I had no desire to even want an IKE till I bought some from the gas station cashier from a guy in front of me that spent 4 of them for some cigs, And jbuck gave me some info and Ta Da, I had me a Dansco Ike album!
One of my proudest achievements.

When a poster asks for opinions on the grade of a coin and you give your honest opinion is that considered discouraging? If so, that has happened hundreds of times on the forum. I'm not sure where the comment was aimed?

Yes Sir, I'm the APO address! :) Well technically, I'm a "spouse" of a "retired Maintainer".... But anybody familiar with people like us will you there's no such thing... Once a Maintainer always a Maintainer... and Once a Military Spouse, Always a Military Spouse :) Being a "Maintainer's Wife" is just who I am and will always be! LOL

Scot retired from the USAF in 2011, after 25 years of Active Duty Service. He retired while at Yokota AB, and somehow we got blessed enough for him to walk right into a full time gig with the Aero Club on base. These daysinstead of being a Crew Chief on B1's... he's got 4 Cessna's, a smaller toolbox and no time clock to punch!

Feb will be 11 years in this awesome country... and if I have my way, I'm not moving back until the "day after never"!

If you haven't been to visit yet... please do yourself a favor so you don't regret it later and... Just Go.

It's only fair to warn you... if you visit Oki and/or Mainland you may never want to leave!

Well Thank Y'all!

I sat here for about 24 solid hours looking up every coin I had stashed away from the US, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Tunisia, Spain.... and several places in between.

Near as I can figure, by the values stated online... if I sold them all for top dollar I could buy a tube of toothpaste.

I do have several Morgan dollars and Ikes but unfortunately none of them are worth anything.
