62 R&B. The heavy carbon spot on the reverse, along with a dark area in the left field, keep it out of 63.

Still a very nice coin.
Rest in Peace

Late obverse die state with some tics on the cheekbone. The color seems a bit off.

Originally, imagine this garnered a 63 Red.

Today, probably receive and UNC Color/Details slab.

Again...totally judging from a picture.

Well most said MS63RB, a few nailed it and only one said below MS62RB. The question is should I try to cross it to PCGS? What do you think. Thanks.

You could try a crossover but that carbon spot on the reverse hurts your chances of an upgrade.

If you go to a show where PCGS or NGC is accepting submissions, show them the current slab and ask what are the chances of a crossover at the exact or a better grade.

Never hurts to ask!

Why try to cross it? It's a beautiful coin as it is!

My gut said 62 on this because the TPG's hate anything that looks like a woody. They see it as a major distraction, I see it as beauty.

Thanks BadThad. I was waiting for your response. I think I will keep it as is.
