i went to a pawn shop in big pine key summer '16 and walked up to the counter, looked down through the glass and saw a big die crack on this 1878 morgan:

1878-Morgan,-VAM-130c3?
1878-Morgan,-VAM-130c3?

a sharp eye will see a few of the bigger attribution points on this VAM.

these may help:

1878-Morgan,-VAM-130c3?
1878-Morgan,-VAM-130c3?
1878-Morgan,-VAM-130c3?

after studying at VAMworld, i'm guessing this is a VAM 130C3. it has all the major points pictured at VAMworld.

dunno what anyone else would pay for this coin, but I got it for pocket change. I bought another (different) morgan along with it, for the same price. i'll post that one here later.

what do you suppose I paid for this? anyone want to guess?

It looks like a 130C3 to me and my guess is you did not over-pay for this one.

$25

morgans are hard to come by down here, and since I am mostly island-bound I buy whatever I can get my hands on, price doesn't much affect how or what I buy, as long as it's within reason.
