It's very light, it looks like there's no copper coating, and it's depressed in the middle. The color would indicate that @mark1959 was right in that the copper plating was stripped off in some way and the grooves would be post-mint damage as @crazyb0's graphic indicates. Seems like your cent is spendable, but better pics would help to confirm that.
