Here is a dime that I salted away back in 1998 because I thought that it had a Rim Fin (partly visible at about six o'clock on the rev). After reading @coop's super-helpful descriptions http://goccf.com/t/276070#2338135
), I am now coming down more on the side of PMD, mostly because this "fin" of metal is not perpendicular to the coin's faces. Seems more likely to me that it struck a flat surface after being struck and this caused the edge metal deformation.

What do you folks think?

Yep, just PMD (Post Mint Damage). You can see how the metal is disturbed and pushed in.

Thanks E&V. What a difference having another twenty years of coin collecting knowledge under my belt makes.
