Hello, this 1911 one cent is in fairly good shape with intact design. Unfortunately it is dull and has environmental debris on it. It was in coin holder but I could not get a picture that showed the details. Would this coin benefit from being cleaned? I have read that cleaning is a no no. Or do I leave as is and put back in holder? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I'm going VF40 on this one, also try a Verdi-care bath.

I'd say XF-40 with environmental damage.

Sorry, I'm new to coin collecting. What is verdigris? And how do you properly clean this kind of coin? I thought cleaning was not good. Thank you for your grades. Ive read things online on how to clean them if at all, but I'm not sure. Tia
