I've always considered your comments helpful, and in no way a conversation breaker.
I also appreciate when people speak out about coins that might be dipped, cleaned, or otherwise modified.
I see far too many doctored coins being retailed, and it's important to sensitize collectors to this issue.
The more collectors are aware, and refuse to buy such coins, the less motivation to clean (and ruin) coins.

I agree with Mycrob that it is helpful to describe how one arrives at the estimated grade. The major grading services use some kind of team grading process to come up with the final number that goes on the slab. I presume their graders have to discuss their grading rationale whenever there is a significant grading disagreement.

I always try to mention the specific features that contribute to the grade opinions I post. That way, if I'm off the mark you can at least see how I got there!
Rest in Peace

I'm one of the people learning here. I often find myself thinking, "That's interesting," and there isn't a thing I can add.

Hope that helps explain it.
