Not a doubled die. There is no widening of the devices and I can see the flat shelf where the metal has been pushed.

The marks on the top of the devices appear to be contact marks sliding and pressing inward the tops of the devices. The outside edge of the 3 looks like Die Deterioration setting in flowing towards the rim. Just from a normal die showing age. (aging starts showing on the devices closer to the rim area first. Hope this helps?
