This is a key date 1919 Mexico 5 Centavo believed to be uncirculated and well kept. The off coloring may be a bronze patina, or a different version of the bronze coin made in 1919. Info please!

Sorry the 1919 is a *Semi-key date for the series. I might have to send this in for examination. Not much on here.

to the Community!

I am not familiar enough with it to offer a grade or know if it is worth submitting to a TPG.

I do like how it looks though.

First off, welcome.

Aside from the 1931, this is a really tough date and the second most valuable coin in the series. It's a issue for which there is real incentive to create forgeries.

I'd like just a little better images. The color in particular shouldn't be so different from one side to the other, and overall seems odd for an example that from the standpoint of wear looks to be AU at worst. I'm also a bit leery of the overall "mushy" appearance of the eagle, but again, my reservation may just be an artifact of the photography.

This post shows what fakes look like compared to the real ones. http://goccf.com/t/299006
I am cleaning the coin with a bronze cleaning mixture; it is indeed bronze, as I checked the magnetism, and it resulted negative. Once Ive given the coin ample cleaning time, to complete the process, then I will post the results, and have it checked into for further examination.
