1974-S Lincoln Cent, Mint Mark Variation?

The S mint mark stood out right away at first glance it resembled more a figure 8 than the letter S... and the mark looks thicker in certain areas? cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 01/16/2018 12:46 pm There were two S mint mark styles used on the 1974 S mint cents. The one you have is MMS-009. That is the way they look. The mint mark punch itself is doubled and gives that wider look to the S. Report this Post to the Staff
