plucked from pocket change, I think I have a clashed shield cent. does anyone have an overlay diagram of the shield cent clashing? I saw one last week but I forget where.    am still trying to get decent pix, but in the detail pic you can see two vertical lines behind Lincoln, one directly behind his neck, and another farther behind running upward from just above the space between the T & Y of LIBERTY. the overlay I looked at last week showed this area as prime shield clash territory. if I can get better pix I will post them. here's a slightly better look at the two clash marks in front of Lincoln's face  the one in better focus s in front of Lincoln's nose, the other, a little darker & slightly fuzzy, is dropping down from Lincoln's nose. |

Looks like linear plate bubbles to me but that's just my opinion

Nice find. It's got a fingerprint on it but otherwise it's in great shape. Enjoy!

i first saw the line behind Lincoln's head and assumed it was a die gouge or plating issue. I labeled it as such & filed it. then about a week later I saw the overlay somewhere... slow to put it together, but I did eventually, and then dug out the penny to examine the area in front of Lincoln face. very slight, but it's there. thank you mark1959 & Crazyb0 for the assists.
yeah, that fingerprint sucks, but not a bad find for pocket change! keeper!
