1982 d bronze penny. Weight 3.08gms.is it a large or small date?

Once you know what to look for, these are easy to tell at a glance. The most obvious way to check is to look at the downstroke of the 2. A straight line is on the Large Date and a curvy line is the Small Date. (The other diagnostics aren't quite as helpful, unless you have a different 82 to compare it to.)

First one definitely Large, second pic is blurry but possibly Small.
