I have a bunch of silver Canadian coins as well as 1 oz gold wafers. Where is a reputable place to sell them for a fair price?

Are you talking scrap silver or higher grade coins?

I would call J and M in Vancouver. They post their scrap prices on line. Joe comes to Toronto every month or two for a show and you can probably arrange to deliver them to him in town.

For the gold, if they are wafers from a recognized supplier you can sell them at ScotiaBank. Best is main branch downtown. You will need to supply comprehensive documentation to them.

Not too sure about the banks for selling bullion; aren't they supposed to pay the least? I had good luck selling to torontogoldbullion.com. They are located near the Finch TTC station. Of course they will need your govt. id etc.

I would wait until the Spring Coin Expo and take your stuff around to the dealers and see who gives you the best price .. IF all your stuff is scrap silver.

i'd personally recommend my lcs on lakeshore road down in Clarkson. century stamp and coins, they're pretty fair and pay a solid amount for bullion, very fair in my opinion. i'd recommend other places but I haven't come across many other places I this area.
Feel free to call me Will.

+1 for Century stamps and coins at Clarkson.

Hi Will. I also lived in Clarkson for almost a decade until recently.
