Nice group of 1982 pennies. Do you have any specific question?

Okay, so you have what appears to be a 1982-D Large Date copper cent. The uber rare one (if real, and I have my doubts) is the Small Date copper from Denver. I believe yours are all common.

I see a 1982 D copper (worth maybe 3 cents, if you believe in copper hoarding) and a 1982 zinc from philly worth 1 cent.

Quote: Just tell me how much the two shown are worth. One cent each. Maybe two if they are 95% copper. Keep looking and keep asking questions.

I think what happens, to people who are unfamiliar with rare or valuable coins, is they will see a post on social media or in a magazine that shows an extremely rare and valuable coin that can be found in pocket change, such as the 1982-D small date Copper cent. Then these people start looking in their change and find a 1982 cent, then they realize that maybe some of the 1982's are a different color or feel heavier and think they have the rare coin. It happens with different coins, they call it "click bait" because people will click on the article which in turn gives the poster more ad hits. People don't take the time to educate themselves on what to look for. When you're going through all that pocket change, don't forget to keep an eye out for a 1975 Washington quarter! May be able to pay the mortgage off with that one.

More recently, I decided to download all of these type educational graphics I come across here just in case they could be of use in particular topics. Many of them come from @coop. Those that I create aren't nearly as professional looking.
