If it is a cast counterfeit, different (accurate) weight and ping tone should expose it.

Smalldawg and Sel, This is NOT a counterfeit coin. I sent it in to PCGS and my previous post says that they graded it AU details - Environmental damage.

It seems that members are forgetting to actually read the whole thread before responding.

Anyway, this is not a fake. I have a feeling that your photography makes coins look slightly worse than they are. Just a suggestion.

I never thought of it as a counterfeit coin; I still agree with moxking.

Nevertheless for those who have thoughts that it may be a counterfeit, I have suggested the first convenient and inexpensive steps that may be taken to check it out for that possibility.
