Hello there, I am new to the forum (any forum), so if there is a better way to do this, please let me know.

I am new to coin collecting/hunting. My boys and I are trying to fill their penny books and a monster was born! We have had an old coin collection that has been passed down and randomly added to by us, but not really organized. So after dropping a small fortune on Amazon, we are trying to identify everything. Most of it I have on Google, but I found these. I don't even know if they are coins or who they were passed down from. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi there, it is a medal I would say.

The Paris mint used to strike large medals, which resemble ancient coins during the 1980s-1990s.

If the edge has a marking (cornucopia), than it should be from there.

Sorry @coinworldtv, but we see these things all the time. @moxking nailed it.

By the way, welcome to CCF @MrsO. I hope that you have other thing to post here!
