so when I was a little kid my mom and her friend brought me to a beach and on the way home we stopped at a convenience store I went in alone for some reason probably to buy candy or soda or something like that and when I went to pay for it the man at the register I cant really remember what he looked like but he gave me this coin and let me get what ever it was for free then a few years later I lost it in my moms car just before we got in a car accident the car was totaled and brought to the scrap yard never to be seen again but just recently like a few months ago it reappears in a pair of jeans that mind you I lost the coin years ago it was a little freaky I don't know about good luck but it sure isn't a normal coin nothing just reappears like that I was around 8 or 10 when I lost the coin I'm almost 20 now Wow is all I have to say Edited by 0ziggy0 01/20/2018 12:28 am

i gathered that from researching it for a while I just felt like the story needed to be shared because if these coins are supernatural of some sort its just cool I mean how do you explain it re appearing 10 or so years later

It was a thing a few years ago that well meaning folk would put these "guardian angel" tokens into the pockets or bags of people they thought needed a little help. Like a lucky charm but with a religious twist. So the short answer is that somebody put it there.
They crop up frequently in job lots at auctions, I must have at least 7 in my scrap box at the moment.

Yes, sorry, but there's no need to invoke the supernatural to explain their proliferation. They are sold by religious/mystic/occult supplies stores, and when you buy them, they come with instructions to pass them on to someone else. So their "re-appearance" in unusual or unexpected circumstances is to be expected. We have seen several of them here on the forum. See this thread for starters. Suffice to say, it is not the exact same token that you lost ten years earlier, it is merely another than looks exactly like it. You can usually find several for sale on ebay, often with an odd story of how the seller came to acquire the item. If the seller emphasises the supernatural-ness of the object, ebay might even pull such items from sale if reported, as selling things purporting to be blessed or lucky or granting unprovable supernatural powers upon the owner is against ebay policy.
