I attended a ceremony presenting this medal to my colleague Bob
Inglis, a tireless community volunteer. The medal is brass, about
3 inches across and has the senate interior on one side and double
date for the sesquicentennial and seal. Senator Michael MacDonald
presented the medal.

Beautiful!

Funny, Bob Inglis was my Representative for ten years. Maybe they are related, if only distantly.

Nice looking medal.
Do you know how many were minted?
Too bad they didn't give each of the
attendees one.

1500 struck, according the Globe and Mail. Here's some more info. I saw on Facebook the same senator gave one to Hope for Wildlife in Nova Scotia too.
