Quote:In anyway, I wait for the moment, when this simple coin will go to our 12-slot RCM case (if you still filling it up with 1/2oz'ers) Yes still collecting the 1/2 ounce coins for the O Canada Box, this makes 8 of the Maple Leaf coins. Along with the Specimen Chinese Zodiac Year of the ... and Baby - Welcome to the World coins.

Thank you, Justsilver for update While many dealers went out of stock with the Pysanka coin, the Canada Post started to sell it for issue price! Keep loading... update, quote from CP site: Quote: ...this pysanka coin is an artistic tribute to the more than 1.2 million Ukrainian-Canadians... 1.2 million, and this is only in Canada, while the mintage is only 5000.

People knew, that they to have to act fast. There was the Hosehold limit, but people asked their friends or relatives. The CP probably doesn't ship outside of Canada, so people asked the Canadian friends

Gatewest is selling Pysanka again at $149.95.
I love their business savviness.
p.s. had I seen the Pysanka fever coming, I would have bought one in the advanced order period. Finally I ordered 2 last Sunday with TSC (was planning to buy 1 only; had to purchase 2 in order to get free shipping).

I don't knw why everyone is running around getting these Pysankas when RCM Master Club Members had unlimited access to the coins. In fact, the coin even reach into the lower tiers of MC. Quote: had I seen the Pysanka fever coming How could you miss it when the 1st and 2nd one sold out so fast? Plus this one is gold plated.

The mintage is only 5000, while the amount of people who wants it...tens thousands or even hundreds? That's why maybe even now is not late to get it from the all sources and list right now for sale**
**Note: this just my assumption, I will not do this.

Quote: I still stand by the comment have not seen a second or third coin in a series hold value, but always buy what you like. You must have a short memory. There are a few that have held value. The 2nd coin in the glass Murano series, the bumble bee is still selling for around $200 or more, five years after its release. And how about the 2nd Pysanka coin? Still well above issue price on ebay. As for the 3rd Pysanka, it is really a different coin than the first two. The gold plating makes it unique and more desirable then if it was a regular design Pysanka.

Quote: The 2nd coin in the glass Murano series, the bumble bee is still selling for around $200 or more This is not very exact. This coin sells for CAD 200 or more and less. Some sold listings are under CAD 150. But....as you noticed: The Glass Caterpillar is coming and it looks so cute and good. With the correct mintage - it will be the next hit. Resurrection of the Glass series. And the Howling Wolf - yes, this is the mega-hit, potential.

I looked carefully at ebay sold listings before making the comment the Bumble Bee is holding its value. $209.95 $239.95 $218.22 $199.95 $189.95 $146.50 $209.95 Average sold price is $202, which is above issue price. The $146.50 price is an aberration due to the fact it is an auction listing that starting with a low price. You won't find too many bumble bee coins selling for below $150.

I hope this coin goes to a 1000 bucks tomorrow, it would give the whole RCM a much needed lift, so about 3 series in 5 years the second coins barely held value so I guess that's pretty good odds with the hundreds of series coins issued in the last 5 years.

Quote: How could you miss it when the 1st and 2nd one sold out so fast? Plus this one is gold plated. I actually looked at the 1st and the 2nd Pysanka coins back in October 2017. At that time, the market price of the 2nd Pysanka coin wasn't that encouraging - around the issue price if my memory was right. Plus, it's the third of the series. Usually when it comes to a third coin, buyers' enthusiasm is also reduced to a third. I agree the gold-plating is a differentiator. But I don't think it's a game changer. In a nut shell, I don't understand coins and people.

But no one want to be "that seller" here some screenshot: UPDATED (that was incorrect screenshot, missed some low sale, now added correct one)

The most recent sold prices show an uptick in the price of the bumblebee coin. What is the most important is newest and most current prices, not prices months ago. There is not a single current listing for the bumblebee coin for below $150. No matter how hot the coin, there is always an outliner. The person who sold the coin for $146 was a fool who used an auction type listing with a low starting value. He could have easily sold the coin for more than $150 if he used a buy it now or a auction listing with a higher price. No matter how you cut it, the average price of the Bumble Bee coin is around $200.
