I got this in change a couple days ago and my first thought was "What's a golfer doing on the reverse of a cent?". I always flip through my change before dumping it in the jar and I swear this is the first time I've seen one of these, going on 9 years later. People really hoarded them, I guess. It's a rare "not one of the 101 varieties".

If it is the P mint, there are almost 100 varieties of a DDR! Look at or around the thumb, forefinger and book binding for "the finger". Some are quite pronounced and look like a skeleton finger!

Quote: What's a golfer doing on the reverse of a cent?". Are you referring to the picture of Abe on the reverse? In case you didn't know, the 2009 Lincoln Cent was in celibration of his 200 birthday. There were four reverses for hat year. 1) Birth Place (Cabin) 2) Formative Years (Abe sitting on A log reading a book) 3) Professional Life (Abe Standing) 4) Presidency (The White House) Edit: Also to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln Cent!

I believe you need 50 quality posts to PM another member, which you would have to do to give them your address.
Get busy and get some posts done.

Quote: That made me chuckle. That was my intention. I seriously had no idea about this series, and seeing one slightly rotated at arms length without my glasses on... fore!

Moxking, I'm posting as fast as I can but 50 is a lot, Jbuck must be a machine at 50K. I didn't expect the 8 coins to be a giveaway by the way.

Quote: There is no restriction on giveaways, but they really need to be offered in the Contest, Quiz, and Giveaway forum. jbuck, not a contest or give away. OP did not know that this series even existed and therefore I was just offering some as a friendly (I have several so here you can have these) gesture to a fellow member. Nothing in return, no requirement (other than 50 posts in order to PM me with shipping information) and no guesses, questions, or quiz. I appoligize if my post led anyone to beleive other wise as it was not my intention.

No, you are fine and I apologize for the confusion. I should have included a quote because my response was to what Mox had wrote as a general clarification on the rules, but kbbpll slipped in there. Little gifts to specific individuals here and there (like we have here) are okay, just keep the banter minimal. That being said, a more general giveaway like "free to a good home" or "anyone who needs these can have them" should be in the C/Q/G forum so all can see. I hope that makes sense, if not, let me know.
