The hexagonal coin is Egypt 1933 2 1/2 milliemes. ( I think! )

The other coin purports to be a George III halfpenny from the first series, but I think it is a contemporary fake. It has a date of "179?". The genuine halfpennies were minted from 1770 to 1775, and whatever the third digit might be, it is not "7". Also details on the bust dont look quite right. It is not a 1799 halfpenny for the following reasons:
1. Old style bust.
2. Date is straight, and not curved around edge of coin.
3. "BRITANNIA" is split into two parts, 1799 coin has it as one continuous word.
It is not an evasion as the legends try to be accurate.

Actually, that 2 1/2 milliemes coin is octagonal.

The coin in question would be the Egyptian 2 qirsh piece from 1944, as seen here.

Machin's Mills pieces circulated in Colonial America and are highly collectable! Your piece is a common variety and will fetch somewhere between $30-$50 in a ebay auction.

I see that you have decided to place your Machins on ebay! Looks like you already have a bidder at $40 bucks. BTW, the surfaces are better than most I've seen... so I think you should do pretty good!

Yes I'm not really collector of this type, lucky find in a big lot of coins . Didn't think of it much at first, but you're input was excellent. thanks for the insight and I did read up on the machins via page you provided . It's interesting to see all the things that happened during the colonial period.
