hunter20ga Pillar of the Community United States 1173 Posts	Posted 05/23/2008 5:18 pm Nice coin. My gut reaction is VF...though EF might be closer to the actual grade. I see quite a bit of wear on the breast and thigh on the obverse though the reverse doesn't seem equally worn. I'm speculating that this apparent imbalance may indicate a weaker strike. I'm NOT as experienced in this series as I am with a few other 19th century series, so others may give you a much more knowledgeable estimate as to grade. I like this series...so one of these days, as opportunity arises, I think I'll have to start accumulating more of them than what I currently have. Report this Post to the Staff
TLS5933 Pillar of the Community United States 1703 Posts	Posted 05/23/2008 5:25 pm Lets put a little light on the subject.As far as grade goes I would give put it in the EF40-45 range. What bothers me is all the fine hairline scratches in this coin.Over Miss Libertys right shoulder,you can see an exellent example of what I believe was someones attempt at cleaning this coin.Many fine lines on both obverse & reverse.
